We are excited to present the latest in our series of WKND events. This month L.A. pop duo The Fontaines will be playing a residency at Silverlake Lounge. You can catch them every Monday night at 10pm with special guests. The shows are free and we will be giving away tote bags and other goodies to those in attendance. Just another reason that goes to show the weekend doesn't have to end on Sunday.

Craving the bright whites of those West Coast waves, the head to toe of the ocean sun, we come running.
Make the summer count. Here is a brand new, windows-down, running your hand through the rushing air playlist for your listening pleasure.
...Including a brand new song from new Members of the Society- Magic Man.
Members of the Society Smallpools recently released a stellar new single entitled "Killer Whales". With a thick synth hook, tight "whoa-oh" singalong and bit of chorus falsetto about ocean mammals, this track is a great windows-down, cranked to 10 listen.
This is the first new track following the release of their debut self-titled EP that featured the hit "Dreaming."
All you need is a bit of sunshine and a smartphone...
Dutch design firm Yalp has let loose an array of public DJ booths in an aim to give young folks an opportunity to be creative and social in a positive outdoor environment.
When we came across this innovative idea, we wanted to share, as we believe in many of the tenets that the Fono Project stands for.
In the Mix writes- "[The aim is to give] young people access to a simple (and free) DJing set-up. ‘Fono’ can be found in several parks and public spaces in The Netherlands, Finland and Denmark. All you need is a library of music on your smartphone to get started."

We here at the WKND Camp have been longtime fans of OK Go's creative spirit, DIY entrepreneurial attitude and the damn good music they make. They're back with some new tunes and a forthcoming album, and they've done it again with their eye-boggling new music video.
"Baby we both know that's not how it's supposed to be."
We here at Weekend Society believe in collaboration. It's in our mission statement, it's what we strive to do with other creative entities, it's in our daily work at the office. So when we came across this "short" documentary about a band we've respected for quite some time, we felt apt to share it with you. Their history is quite interesting, and not at all what most people assume it to be. Grouplove's story is one that breaks the conventional mold of pop bands today and shows the value of collaboration and stepping outside your comfort zone.
We've had the chance to interact with a few of the band members and can confirm that they are indeed the same spirited, creatively old souls as they appear to be in this film. So, sit back, relax, listen to (and watch) some good tunes and learn a thing or two.
The concert documentary "I'm With You" follows the band Grouplove as they play a series of shows in NYC around the release of their new album. Weaving live music with documentary scenes, the film traces the history of the band and explores the unique interpersonal dynamics that make the group so special.
